About Us
Selmore Christian Church, established in 1906, is a church where Jesus is Lord, where the
Bible is preached and where the community is served. We desire to be a church for all of Ozark
& Christian County. We don't believe you come to church because you are perfect; we believe
you come to church because you are NOT perfect. We do worship a perfect God and a perfect
Savior but we understand that we are all "work under construction."
Our 10:00 a.m. Sunday School is for learning about God's Word where we study the Scriptures to
better our lives. It is 45 minutes of fellowship and study. We invite you to come and share
together with us.
Our 11:00 a.m. worship service features gospel music, communion, prayer and
relevant preaching, always centered in God's Word. We would love to have you join us this
next Sunday!
Selmore Christian is a grace-filled community that serves those who have either stayed or
strayed away, those who are looking for a place to call home, a place to heal or a place to
pursue a relationship with God. We are a people on mission to connect people to Christ and one
another.
The core values of Selmore Christian flow out of the mission of God. We accomplish
connecting people to Christ and one another by unashamedly asking every person to embrace
the Christ we follow and serve.
Pastor
Michael and Mary Shockley
Michael was installed as Pastor on December 17, 2023. Prior to being called to Pastor, Michael was involved in Evangelism, Discipleship and small groups in various churches. He is a mechanical engineer and enjoys writing and making people laugh. Mary enjoys flea markets, plants and traveling. She also is the founder of Mary Margaret's Consignment Boutique. They have three sons and three grandchildren. They love the Ozarks and are thrilled to be serving at Selmore Christian Church.
